CHILD CARE SERVICES

  • 1 public health nurse – dealing with Reproductive Health, School Health, Communicable Disease, Maternal & Child Health
  • An Ultra Sound Unit for obstetrical care visits the hospital once a week.
  • Pre-school Speech Language Pathologist – they come out once a month.  One worker is specifically for special needs children.
  • 1 “Family First” home visitor.  This is an early childhood program designed to provide services to families living in conditions of risk who have children from prenatal to 5 years of age.
  • Child and Family Services Social Workers for the Interlake and one for the Anishinaabe Child & Family Services
  • Vocational Rehabilitation/Ccommunity Living Social Worker – wide range of programs and services designed to help adults with a mental disability
  • Children’s Special Services – support to children who have a mental or physical disability and are living with their family
  • .3 Resource Coordinator – they hire the workers for Family Services
