CHILD CARE SERVICES

  • 1 public health nurse - dealing with Reproductive Health, School Health, Communicable Disease, Maternal & Child Health
  • An Ultra Sound Unit for obstetrical care visits the hospital once a week.
  • Pre-school/School Speech Language Pathologist - c/o Lakeshore School Division. 
  • Provincial Outreach Therapy - work with Special Needs Children.
  • 1 “Family First” home visitor. This is an early childhood program designed to provide services to families living in conditions of risk who have children from prenatal to 5 years of age.
  • Child and Family Services Social Workers for the Interlake based out of Stonewall (in the area, need be basis) and one for the Anishinaabe Child & Family Services (office located on Main Street in Ashern).
  • Vocational Rehabilitation/Community Living Social Worker - wide range of programs and services designed to help adults with a mental disability.  Interlake worker based out of Selkirk - in the area, need be basis.
  • .Children's Special Services - supports to children who have a mental or physical disability and are living with their family.  Interlake worker based out of Selkirk - in the area, need be basis.
  • .3 Resource Coordinator – they hire the workers for Family Services
